Autumn Colours

It's challenge time again at the Graph'It marker blog and here is my DT card for the theme of 'Autumn Colours'

This cute little image called Fall Fairy from Amy Doodles was perfect and I couldn't wait to colour her.  It takes me around 2-3 hours to colour an image and when I'd finished this I wished I'd coloured her dress in green as it would have made the wings stand out.  I wasn't going to start over again so I went with it.

Here's the list of colours I used:-
Face - 4115  4120  4155  4180  4145  4125  3120  Eyes - 3150  3110  3125  7110  7115

Light Source Inspiration

The challenge this week over at the Graph'it Colour me Crazy blog is all about light source.  I chose this digi stamp from Polkadoodles called Emily Party and I thought it would be perfect for my DT card.

I've used my Graph'it markers and I usually list all the colours, however, there were so many that I  forgot to write some down and got confused and it was too late once I'd put them away.  I will try harder next time.

I hope I've managed to capture the light and dark side of the image coming from the candle.  I did make a bit of a boo boo on the left side of the face and the arm but the more I tried to correct it the worse I made it look.

As the image was quite large I decided to keep the card simple - which is difficult for me to do as I usually have to fill in any gaps.

See you again soon.

Spectrum Noir Challenge - Male card

First of all I must apologise to everyone for being a bad blogger.  I've recently moved and, as you can imagine it's been mayhem trying to find my craft stuff.  I'm getting sorted gradually and have also  now got broadband again.

Today I'm sharing my DT card for this month's Spectrum Noir Challenge - the theme is Male Cards.

To colour this little chap (he's called Angling Andy and is from Dr. Digi) - I have used a mixture of the marker pens and the new pencils.  I began by colouring the base layer with my marker pens in one block colour and then used the pencils to add the shading.  If you're a beginner this is an easier way to get this effect, in my opinion.

Here are the colours I used:-

Skin - (Pens) FS1  GB2  TN2  CR2 (Pencil) 092
T-Shirt - (Pens) LG2  BGR2 (Pencils) 059  047  120
Waders - (Pens) BT1  BGR2  IG8  (Pencils) 070  071  073  120
Fish - (Pens) BG5  BG3  (Pencils)  092  120
Satchel - (Pens) EB3  BGR2  (Pencils)  104  120
Hat - (Pens) TN4  BGR2  LG2  (Pencils)  101 120
Ground - (Pencils) 006  096  089
Background - (Pencils) 092  016

Pop over to the challenge page and join in for the chance to win a fabulous prize.

Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils - Sneak Peek

I'm so excited to be able to share with you this sneak peek of one of the cards I made using the new Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils by Crafters Companion.

Coming in Spring 2012, the Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils range are an exciting addition to the Spectrum Noir family.  With 120 pencils in total, divided into five 24-set pencil colletions, along with accessories to help you get the most from your Spectrum Noir colouring.

Here is a link to the Spectrum Noir blog for more information.

Leann will be appearing on Create and Craft on Saturday 11th Jan at 4pm and broadcasting from CHA with lovely new products and the pencils are being previewed.

I've loved using these pencils, they are so easy to blend and work fabuously on their own and also in conjunction with the Spectrum Noir markers.

I'll be back again tomorrow with another card for you.
